The Dreamiest Boho Wildflower Inspired Styled Elopement in New Windsor, Maryland
After a lot of planning, creating, and running around all over the place, my dreams came true. My first styled elopement shoot was everything I imagined and more.
I won’t lie, we had some set backs that I was so worried about in the moment, but after it all I realized everything went exactly as it needed to.
I found the location I wanted to have the elopement take place at, which is my uncle’s farm in New Windsor, MD. It has the perfect scenery for something like this. The sun also shines through in the perfect places!
Next, I found the perfect dress on a boutique on Instagram- Eleanors Bridal- which rents out beautiful dresses to professional photographers.
I then had to find props. This is where having way too many decorations in my house came in clutch. I took the rug from under my couch, a picnic basket, candle holders, a few vintage cameras, and my favorite fluffy orange pillows off my couch. My parents also built an amazzzzing triangle arch, too. I can’t thank them ENOUGH.
For florals, I searched all over to find an available florist to be apart of it, but sadly most of them were booked already with weddings. SO, I took things into my own hands and went to a local produce store and bought my own! I quickly realized I didn’t have enough, so my mom & I went to Wegman’s to get some more. We made our arrangements for the arch, and my mom put together the bouquet (she’s so crafty???).
Then, I found my models! Torie + Will were the sweetest couple I could have asked for. Not to mention, totally model material. With the help of MUA Aimee (@theaimeenicolemua on Instagram) and hair stylist Kait (@kaitjonesbridalhair on Instagram), Torie looked like the most gorgeous boho bride EVER.
HUGE shout out to Torie and Will by the way, because they drove 2.5 hours that morning to pick up a dog that they were adopting, and then afterwards drove straight to my uncle’s farm which was about 3 hours of driving for them. They even brought the dogs with them, which was perfect because ummmm I love all dogs. BRING THE DOGS OKAY?
The weather also decided to bless us. It was so cloudy the entire day, and then as soon as we got outside at around 6:30, the sun peaked through for the most perfect golden hour!
Wanna see how dreamy they turned out? Look below!!! I am obsessed to say the least.
Being a Maryland Wedding Photographer is a dream thanks to all of you.
